Botox (Botulinum Toxin) is a protein that is injected in small amounts to temporarily relax specific facial muscles. This softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by expressions on the forehead, around the eyes, around the mouth and on the neck (crow's feet, brow lift, Nefertiti lift) and for gummy smile. It is also used for sweating and teeth grinding.
The treatment is quick, with minimal discomfort, and results typically appear within a week, lasting about 3 to 6 months. After that, further treatments are required to maintain the result.
